Maria is a thoughtful, warm and non-judgemental, person-centred psychologist. She appreciates the courage required to seek help.  She strives to cultivate a safe and respectful environment and develop a therapeutic alliance with her clients  by being authentic, transparent and acceptance.

Maria views that the clients are the experts of their experiences.  As Irvin Yalom says in his book titled, The Gift of Therapy, “Therapist and the patient as travellers”.

As all psychologists, Maria uses a biopsychosocial assessment that informs a psychological treatment(s). She aims to tailor individualise treatments with each client, in a compassionate and collaborative way. The treatment approaches Maria uses experience include:

  • Schema Therapy
